FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

WHAT IS THE HAIRCUT SITE ABOUT?

Everything on GUYS HAIRCUTS: Pictures, Guides, Movies, Clippers, and discussion on the BuzzBoard, the message board that is "guys haircut talk central" on the entire world wide web.

WHAT ARE THE RULES OF THE BUZZBOARD?

The BuzzBoard is a PG-rated message board devoted to guys haircuts. This board is run by the WEBMASTER and our trusty SYSTEM ADMINISTRATOR. It is part of thcs.info. The WEBMASTER and his policies must be respected at all times. Those who disagree with or take exception to these policies are free to go elsewhere. This site NOT a democracy. On this site, the WEBMASTER rules supreme.

Recruits (those who post messages) may post images, links and comments relating to guys haircuts. Discussion often strays into other areas, and this is fine, but GUYS HAIRCUTS must remain the board's prime focus. Recruits may NOT post anything pornographic, illegal, or immoral. No hate-filled rants. No bashing of ANY religion. No bashing of minorities or foreigners. In short, no bashing at all! (Mullet bashing is OK.)

No pictures or links depicting homosexual sex. No pictures or links depicting bisexual sex. No pictures or links depicting HETEROSEXUAL sex either! Why? Because this board is NOT about sex. It's about guys haircuts. Discussion often strays into other areas, and this is fine, but GUYS HAIRCUTS must remain our prime focus.

Anyone breaking these rules risks being PERMANENTLY BANNED from the BuzzBoard!

HOW DO I INCLUDE IMAGES IN A BUZZBOARD POST?

Generally, most recruits want to do one of two things: include a picture already on the net, or include personal pics they've scanned or have on file. Here's how to do it:

HOW TO INCLUDE PICTURES ALREADY ON THE NET:
Let's say you're browsing around the Internet and find a great shot of a guy in a crewcut. If you're using Netscape, position your cursor over the image -- then, Mac users click and hold, PC users right-click. A menu will pop up with several options. Choose "Open this picture," and Netscape will automatically transfer you to a page that contains nothing but the picture. No text, no frames, nothing but the picture. That page address is what you're going to need, because it's the address where the picture (and only the picture) resides.

Copy the entire URL (just another term for page address), which is the line close to the top of the Netscape screen that begins with the word "Location." BE SURE to copy the entire address, including the "http://" part.

Now go back to The BuzzBoard. Click on the "Post New Message" area at the top of the screen. Fill in your name (next to "Recruit's Name"), Subject (i.e. "Great Pic") and your message (if there is one). At the bottom of the form, you'll see a box that says "Image URL" (the very last box). Paste or retype the URL (the picture's address) in that box. It must be complete, and it must start with http:// and end with either .jpg or .gif

Hit the "Post Message" box under it, and you're done.

HOW TO POST PICTURES FROM YOUR COMPUTER'S HARD DISK:
The way things are set up, you can't. You can only post pictures that are all ready on an existing website or a web server. You can't include a picture from your hard drive as if you were sending e-mail. It won't come through.

If you want to post pics, you'll have to find some way to get them on the web. Getting and setting up your very own website isn't as difficult as you might think. You can create a site full of nothing but pictures -- no type, no frames, no animation, no special effects -- and then you can post them on the BuzzBoard. It's relatively simple. And it can be free. MySpace.com, Yahoo.com and tons of other places now provide free server space.

Remember -- when you set up your website, every pic will have its own specific URL (page address). Because you've just created a website, your pictures are now on the Net. To post them on the BuzzBoard, refer to the section above, "How to Include Pictures Already on the Internet," and follow the instructions there.
